I would like to thank Etasgo Academy for giving me opportunity to participate in the “Battle Of The Chef 2024” international competition in Penang. Big thanks to my lecturers for nurturing and teaching me proper knowledge as well as their dedication and support, I benefited a lot from it during my training.
In addition, I would like to thank my parents and family for their support and encouragement. I would also like to thank my friends that participate in this competition for their help and companion. We not only improved together but also brought all kinds of laughter during the training.
“God will not let down those who work hard.” After 3 months of continuous efforts, I finally won myself a silver medal. I think winning this medal is actually a recognition of me. I feel extremely honored and happy. I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to all those who have supported and helped me through this journey.

Lim Jia Xuan - Silver Medal Winner

I am very grateful to the Etasgo Academy and lecturers for giving me the opportunity to participate in the international cooking competition, and I am very grateful to my lecturers for selecting me in their cooking audition. Of course, the support and encouragement from my parents are essential. In fact, I was still doubtful at the beginning, but because of the constant encouragement and support from my lecturers, I finally succeeded in completing the competition.
I encountered various difficulties during the training process, but because of professional guidance, help and support from my lecturer, each finished product was completed better and better each training. Throughout my training, I gained a lot of extra knowledge, and I believe that this knowledge will be a great help in my future career. In addition, the atmosphere during the whole training process is full of happiness and teammates’ cheering each other!
In addition, I am also very grateful to the Etasgo Academy and lecturer for providing ingredients and sufficient kitchen equipment for us throughout our training.
In this competition, I gained a lot of experience and I also manage to see bigger picture about this industry. I hope with the experience from this competition, I can achieve even better results next competition. Finally, I am very grateful that my teammates and I have successfully won medal for Etasgo Academy. Although, it is only a bronze medal, it also proves our efforts. I believe in order to gain; you have to give.
Lim Jia Hui - Bronze Medal Winner

My partner and I won a bronze medal in the 2024 BOTC competition. This was our first competition and I am happy with my achievement. First of all, I would like to thank Etasgo Academy for giving me the opportunity to participate in this competition and their support during these three months. Next, I would like to thank my lecturers who continuously sacrifice their precious time to teach us and improve our skills over the past three months. Without their guidance, we would not be receiving medals today. Finally, I would like to thank my family for their encouragement and support that have enabled me to achieve the honors and achievements I have today.
Fung Jung Wui - Bronze Medal Winner

After countless days of practice and experimentation, we finally ushered in an important chef challenge competition. I chose the theme of duck breast in this competition. I won the bronze medal under the team led by the school.
Firstly, thanks my school Etasgo academy and my teachers for their support and help, which gives me the confidence to participate in the competition, and I am also very happy to represent the school in the competition. They will also give me a lot of advice and guidance. Although the results this time are not as good as I expected, I believe that as long as I keep working hard, I will definitely achieve my ideal result.
Secondly, I want to thanks my family for their support and encouragement, which will give me comfort when I am stressed.
Lastly, I think not only practical experience is important, but also knowledge is indispensable. These are things that others can’t take away.

Hello, everyone! My name is Yi Chen. On September 21st this year, I had participated the FHM Competition and luckily won a silver medal.

Thank you very much! I feel really happy and honored to have come in third place in the FHM competition 2023. First, I want to thank my parents for always supporting and encouraging me. Without them, I wouldn’t be here today, pursuing my dreams.
